Lucy and Akrant met at University. Lucy’s family is English and Akrants’ Indian. The pair wanted a wedding that would incorporate both cultures. Indian attire was a must.
We started the day with a first look in Totara Park.
The ceremony was to be held in the small back room of Akrant’s auntie’s house. We started with the traditional Havan ceremony with Akrants auntie and uncle and Lucy’s parents all present.
Then was the more traditional western ceremony where the couple exchanged rings. Akrant’s mother and wider family watched on via skype from India. Lots of happy tears, mostly from Akrant himself. A truly emotional, beautiful wedding that I was honoured to be a part of.
